I'm back and it's nearly halloween!!!!!!

I do still exist,
I have just been so busy with things and just not had the time at all to come on here and update you, sorry.

How are you all? gosh i have so much to tell you all but just not yet!

I am loving that it's Autumn, finally! been waiting all year. This is my favourite time of the year and im feeling so festive. Mischief night tomorrow, dreading it! people from america, do you have mischief night and if yes, what happens in america? in fact anywhere else in the world apart from the uk?

I will tell you what happens here in liverpool; bad things, haha. Usually ill be on the bus on mischief night coming home from work and smack, the bus gets egged by a gang of young lads. Somehow they think its fun? even funny!!? It really is not! OR you could be walking home or wherever and smack, you get egged. It hasn't happened to me YET, but seeing as i've said this, it will most likely happen to me now haha. OOPS!

Are you all excited for halloween?!

I will be honest, halloween isn't that much of a big deal for me, growing up we would never go out trick or treating but that was ok because we would do things in the house like duck apple and apple on the strings (not sure what that game is called). But then in 2002 my little brother was born and when he was old enough we started going out and it was a new thing for me and my sisters. I personally do not like anything scary, it doesn't impress me at all, so for me halloween is my brothers birthday. However this year, me and darren decided to carve our own pumpkins because we have never done our own before. It was so much fun and they look fab!
My little brother came over last night and he carved his very own pumpkin too, it looks fab!

I will put pictures up soon of halloween and jamie's birthday, including our pumpkins :)

Thank you to everyone who is still looking at my blog and sorry i have been away for so long.

hope you have all had a fab evening and speak to you soon xxx

Christmas preperation :D

I have not been on here because i have been super busy preparing for CHRISTMAS!!! Yes you read that right.

Christmas is the most magical, Happy, festive time of the year and it's mine and darren's Favourite time. I started making little things in february haha, people think i am crazy, I just believe its called being organised. Any how, i am not going to post pictures just yet as i want to save that for Nov- Dec to give you some winter inspiration.

I am making all kinds of things but what i am concentrating on more at the moment is scarves for Autumn/ Winter. I will be showing them on my facebook page soon to sell and i will put some up on my blog also. They are really lovely!!

You never know i might do a give away if i have enough interest. If that is something you would like then please comment below :).

I wish i had my own laptop but can not afford one at the moment and with Darren starting a business i can not get access to it a lot of the time so i have to get in when i can. I miss updating you all but i have tried doing it on the blogger app and i can not change the font or anything so i Can't personalise it for me.

Anyway i am off to finish my scarf so i can start another before my shift tomorrow.

Thankyou for reading and speak to you all soon :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

slimming world update #8

Hello, its been a month tomorrow since i last updated you all on my slimming world journey. Well i had my important appointment and guess what.. it went well!

I can't tell you all what it was for just yet but i will when the time is right :) and when it is, i can not wait to tell you all what's going on :p.

So when i was last weighed it was 11 st 6Ibs and i had 2 days till my appointment, so my lovely new friend taught me a little trick.  I only did this as i was desperate and wouldn't recommend anyone trying it as it's not the safest. Basically the night before my appointment i took some water tablets and i lost 4Ib in water weight for my appointment which had me weighing in at, 11st 2Ib, which mean't for my appointment i was exactly 2 stone lighter. I was so chuffed, can't even tell you. Since tuesday i have eaten a load of crap which i am not happy for but i needed a blow out, i tried so hard and i needed a treat but i don't feel good for it at all, i'm all bloated and feel horrible. So i will be back to slimming world strictly in time.

Due to the whole water tablet business i won't be weighing myself for a good few weeks, maybe 4 as i have been naughty and i will have gained a few pounds from this week alone. I will keep you all updated when i do weigh myself though.

If anyone is doing slimming world, please comment and let us all know how your getting on. I have basically lost 24 pounds on slimming world and would 100% urge you to keep going and if you have not then please start. I didn't pay to be a member as i can not afford to but i did google all about it and joined groups on facebook and found out about it all that way.

Thank you for reading and supporting me on my journey so far, i still have a lot to lose but.. depending on how these next 3 months go could change that. We shall see. Stay tuned!!

Happy Birthday Princess Pippa

So it was Pippa's birthday 18th July and I made her and jack a dog friendly birthday cake :).

More of a doggy chocolate rice crispy cake

They smelt so good!! I just bought a bag of dog chocolate from Asda and really cheap rice crispy cereal and made them the way you usually would ( melt the chocolate and add in the cereal and then place in a cup cake case or mould) but with these I added a small amount of honey. Very small amount just to help it cling together as there was not much chocolate. I made this the night before and popped it in the fridge to set.

Good morning birthday girl!!
clearly she wasn't as excited to see me first thing as I was her. She is 3 now :)

"ooooo can I have one?"

Jack decided to be brave and gobble them up off the plate :)

Jack liked them more than Pippa for sure!!

she didn't get any toys for her birthday because she doesn't really play with them. She has a teddy she sleeps with and chews but she doesn't play like other dogs do with balls an such, Jack doesn't either but I think that is because as a puppy he wasn't encouraged to. He was a rescue dog so I am not sure of his past but as long as I have had him he has only wanted to play 2 or 3 times an each time is only a few seconds bless him.

She shared her birthday with her brother Mateo. He lives with my mum and doesn't look much like Pippa. Here is some pictures of them as puppies..

Hope you all enjoyed these photos of Pippa, Jack and Mateo. My two dogs didn't eat all of the cake I gave some to mateo to enjoy on his birthday, and anyway my two don't eat junk food so it was a complete birthday treat <3 xx

see you soon xxxxx

Slimming world update #7

I am theee worst person for saying i will do an update on a certain day because i never do and then two weeks later i pop back up :( im rubbish. sorry.

So i weighed myself on Tuesday and i now weigh 11st 13Ibs. I am so very happy about this. I have 11 Ibs left to go till i reach my 2 stone weight loss goal.

Last time i saw the doctor i asked about taking the metformin and how it will affect my weight when i come off it and she said i will have to be careful i do not balloon :( well i was on a little downer after because you try so hard and then to fear it could all come back is rather daunting. So yeah, need a plan in place. When i have lost the two stone i will carry on with slimming world, I don't have any intentions of stopping.

For anyone who has not read my previous Slimming World posts, i was 13 stone 2Ibs when i started which was 83.8 kg or there around and i was advised by the hospital to lose weight for something i will mention when the time is right and i am now 76.2kg. At my first hospital appointment my bmi was worked out at around 33 and according to my boots digital print off slip it is 29.4.

I have recently got my bike fixed so i have been cycling to work and back which is typically around 12-13 miles depending on my route and if i am going straight home or not. A friend at work suggested i use an app called 'Strava', it is free with in app purchases but it's great, it records my routes and tells me my miles and how many miles i have done in a week and i added my friend, so now we can talk about our rides and compare times. This week so far, i have done 39 miles. I don't tire of riding, i love love love it. It is my version of a car, i just hop on and away i go to my destination.

what else is new... Oh i finally tried that other slimming world frozen meal i had in the freezer. It is called Hot - smoked salmon farfalle.

I didn't like it at all :(. It looked nice and smelled nice but i could not stand the taste. I am not a fussy eater, i don't know if i have mentioned that before, i will eat most things apart from meat. I only eat fish, and salmon is one of my favourite fishes to eat :( so i was very upset to find this too didn't taste nice.

I'm not saying other people won't like it but for me it was a no go :(. There is only one more left that is veg friendly now and thats the potato curry. I have no idea if i am going to spend what precious little money i have left on it, in fear it will go to the dogs :/
let me know if you have tried them. FYI you do not need to be on slimming world to give this a go, or any of them. It is just normal food but healthy and not filled with fatty oils and butters etc.. good for everyone, but not my taste buds sadly.

By now you should all know how bad i am at being good.. Food wise. Usually i'm an angel haha. well the other night a dominos kind of slipped and fell into my mouth with dominos cookies too, I just blinked and boom. oops??!!
And last night i had a hankering for sweets and chocolate (BLOOMING HORMONES), so i kind of ate a share bag of revels and this morning at 6 am i ate a bag of  minstrels (not the massive share bags but the smaller versions of them, not that it makes it any better :/) and some sweets. What is wrong with me? I have 39 days left until my appointment and i am still not taking this seriously. I have not even been back the gym in like 3 weeks. I moan about not being able to afford the gym and that but then i have a pass sitting in my purse and i do nothing, typical beki that is.
I am taking my biking seriously though, the thing is, when i go the gym i tend to use the bikes and walk on the treadmill because i don't like running on them, so i kind of feel like i'm already doing those things daily anyway? and i can't just go swimming at any time as it's only available certain times of the day because of schools and classes- see perfect at making excuses for myself :(.

Just look at what i had for my lunch when i came home from work today..

Fries, some grated red leicester cheese and onion gravy. Now this would be ok if i measured out the cheese and used that as my healhy option A and made my own fries. Dissapointed in myself today.

Well i am currently waiting for my mum to come get me and then we are going to asda to do a food shop for a soup i am making this evening, it's a speed soup so if it tastes nice i will post pictures and the recipe for you all to try. It is mean't to be slimming and super filling :)..

I will keep you posted. Sorry it's such a long post. see you all soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Must read books!! #1

Hello everyone,

oh my days im excited to say that every book i read i will be putting on here to tell you how amazing it is, i won't be giving the story away in any way, i will however say whether it's happy or sad or whatever and who i think the book is more aimed for, and to tell you, or rather convince you to buy the book because it will make your life that little bit better, well they do mine :) and let me just add that i don't get any money at all for doing this, these are books i have read and i think they are that good i need to spread the word.

There is nothing better than getting lost in a book right? . I find it so hard to read books even though i love reading, for the simple reason that i don't have enough time or i have too many crafts going on at once. I love reading my books when i'm on my daily commute to work, on the bus. I'm always gutted when i reach my stop. Anyway.. like i said the point is to give you my personal opinion on the book and then you can make a decision as to whether or not you want to read it or give it as a present.

So lets start with the first book :)

The secret supper club - by Dana Bate

You almost likely won't be able to read the blurb but i have uploaded a photo just in case.

So i think this book is aimed at Women. If you love cooking, comedy and romance at it's best and worst then why not just give this book a read.
My mum was reading this and told me about it so i lent her my favourite book and she lent me this. She told me it was hard to get into in her opionion but when you do it's really good. I didn't think it was too hard to get into and have loved the story. I am a chapter away from finishing but it has just got super interesting and i am totally gutted it's nearly over and that's when i decided this would be a good and interesting idea.

The book doesn't ever give too much of the story away so you never really know what will happen next but you are really wanting to keep reading. I found myself to be pulling shocked faces on the bus which isn't ideal because you feel like a total idiot when you look up to feel your face smirking or frowning or even laughing.. Yes i have done that- typical me, and people are looking at you and then quickly looking down to the book to see if they can spot what's on the front cover haha. - The shame!

But yeah i am loving this book and really do think if you are looking for something a little different to your typical love story than give this a go, if you comfort eat and don't have much luck in love then maybe you can relate :), one more thing to add, Hannah sugarman (The main character) is a very independant woman, so if you like books with strong female characters then i think you will enjoy this book.

I cant wait to finish this and to go on to the next one :D

Until then... keep smiling :P xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Slimming world update #6

Hello hello hello,

I am so excited to tell you that when i weighed myself on monday just gone, i am now... 12 stone and 3 Ibs which means, i have only 1 pound to go and i will have lost a stone from my starting weight. I am made up, still have a way to go as i ideally need to be 11 stone but i was told i needed to be 70kg which is 11 stone 2 Ibs i think :).

I am really proud of myself.. she says whilst eating a double decker chocolate bar and nearly eating 150g of cheesy puffs -_- haha.
Told you i don't stick to it religiously.

I have found a new form of motivation.. The black board.

So what i do is write how many Ibs i have lost that week, how much i have to lose in Ibs till target and how much in Ibs i have lost so far, and for my own personal use i have written how many days left i have got until my appointment in which i have to lose the weight for :).

It is nice to look at because, although you know how much you have lost, it makes it more real to see the numbers in front of you and feels good to watch the numbers go down.

I have not had much of an appetite this week. I have not been that well. But Darren bought me a couple of the slimming world ready meals and i tried one on friday night and sadly to say i wasn't a fan at all.

I was gutted that i wasn't a fan, as i thought what a great idea for me when im stuck on time or ideas or going to someones house but no. Not for me.

It wasn't awful just for my tastes i wouldn't get it again.
if any of you have tried it and have liked it or like me not a fan please comment and let me know, it would be interesting. The meals are really good sizes too.

The other one i have in my freezer is pasta with salmon in it so i will include that review in next weeks weigh in update. Really hope i have lost weight, looking back i kind of regret that chocolate bar, damn you Darren haha. It was my fault with the cheesy puffs though, i just had a hankering and i am rubbish at saying no :(.

So thats all i have for you this week but i will be weighing myself either tomorrow or tues so i will update you all asap.

Take care :) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My crafting adventures..

So i have pretty much been abandoning all my lovely followers :( im very sorry, I really truley love doing my blog and i still have so many views and i would be so upset to find my regulars have left me because i have not been updating you, so im sorry. But i am here to show and explain why i have not been updating so stay with me..

From the last post i was showing you what i have been up to lately with my craft addiction, i literally have a craft addiction, anything you can make and do i am pretty much researching and on ebay looking for a cheap way of starting out, apart from my soap craze i am now interested in making my own essential oils, I need to take a step back and tell myself to calm down haha. I just love to be creative, love love love it. So anyways..

I am really interested in starting a soap business, like seriously i think i would do so well and it's not often i am confident about myself in that way, or any way really. But i have put a lot of thought into it and all i am trying to focus on right now is finding the perfect recipe for me. My most recent soaps are..

Honey and oat soap. These are only very small soaps, typical hand soaps, so not big but small enough to use up in a few weeks and move on to something else :). This soap is completly natural, it has coconut milk and coconut oil as its main ingredients and inside the soap is ground oats for exfoliation and real honey inside which helps to moisterise your skin and draw moisture to your hands to prevent them drying out and then some oats on top for decoration. This soap doesn't have a smell as such apart from the natural soap and the slighest scent of the honey.

This one is lovely, this is my lavender and tea tree essential oil handsoap. What i found with the other soaps before these (and i have made lots), is that when i added the essential oil or fragrance, i was only using a small amount and when you first use it, it's great because it smells so strong but as it cures over the 4-6 weeks the smell evaporates and eventually you are left with nothing so i went back to the drawing board and did more research and finally found the information i needed and put the right amount in so i will see how it turns out in 4 weeks of curing. I coloured it with a really light green just so it looks pretty, this recipe is one of my favourites for how the soap feels so far :).

This soap i made last night and cut this morning. Its scented with English Rose fragrance oil and once again i used the correct amount according to a post i read so we shall see in four weeks time.
This recipe is different to the one above (lavender and tea trea), and it actually went wrong on me, it riced on me as i added my fragrance oil but i think it was because i added the coconut to trace. If you don't soap it won't make any sense to you but basically what happened is the soap seized, basically it set far too fast and i only had seconds to throw it into a mould before it was solid, i threw a bunch of dried rose petals on top for decoration. In the photo you can see there are two colours, pink and cream, the cream is the original colour of the soap before any colour is added and the pink is the colour i wanted it to be, due to the soap setting up fast i had to very quickly put the colour in and mix it super fast but it didn't all mix up but all in all i'm actually really happy with how they turned out and i think they look quite rustic.

And then ofcourse i have been crocheting, Obviously :p. I have still yet to finish the girls blanket i showed you in my previous post but i decided to start on a boys one and i nearly had all the squares finished in one day.

You can't see it properly but that is actually a deep red but looks more pinky there. I'm going to use a lovely shade of blue to edge each square and do a border when its all been crocheted together. I am planning on selling my blankets on ebay, however each time i make one i kind of just want to keep it to myself haha.

So yeah this is why i have been ignoring you all so i'm sorry once again. If any of you are crafters please comment and tell me what you do or email me and we can talk more personally.

I also wanted to say thank you to my newest visitors from around the world and i really do appreciate all the page views. If any of you who have visited me or who are reading this now have blogs please follow me on my blog by adding yours and i will look yours up to. I have a lovely lady who follows me and she has a lovely blog so please check hers out.

Thank you all for reading and i will show you the blanket when it's all done :)

Slimming world update #5

Hello everyone :)

So it has been a while since i updated my weightloss but im back and i have a new weight to share with you.

Before i do i must be honest and say that i have not been sticking to it as much as i would have liked, when you constantly get told your fat or that you NEED to lose weight it really gets you down and that isn't the type of criticism that motivates me. So yeah i have not been good lately but i have still lost weight and although i say i have not been good, i am still making sensible choices when it comes to food but i am passing through my bad patch and with motivation from my family i am back on track as of today.

I hope anyone that is doing slimming world and reading this stays to plan because if i had stuck to plan and behaved i would be another 3-4 Ibs away from target and i am now behind, so don't give up and please stick to it. Apart from my family motivating me, the other huge motivation has been before and after photos. I will include two here in this post today to show you. I don't feel like i have lost anything but i have and if it wasn't for photographic evidence and the scales i would refuse to believe it.

So here you go, the first picture is when i started and the second is a few weeks ago..

(**CRINGING SHOWING YOU THESE PHOTO'S BY THE WAY -_- **)

I was shocked to see the difference.

So anyways i now weigh 12 stone 5 Ibs and have lost a grand total of 11 Ibs. I am very pleased with this but i am now ready and back on track with my weight loss as i have 8 weeks left this tuesday coming until my appointment in which i have to lose the 2 stone. The lady said over two stone but we will see what happens. So now i need to get my bottom into gear and lose 1 stone and 3 Ibs. I am still seeing a health advisor at my doctors and it's ok, i know pretty much everything they say anyway but it's nice to have the moral support and a little nudge.

The other new thing i can add is i now have a gym membership. Through seeing my doctor they reffered me to the health advisor or assistant ( i can not remember what they are called) and through them i got a gym refferal. I get 24 sessions for 1 pound a go!! how good is that. You can only go at certain times but hey better than full price. So if you are over weight and would like some advice ask your doctor if you have a health advisor in your surgery and ask them for a refferal and ask about the gym pass. I used to cycle all the time but my bike broke and i did not have the money until now to fix it so i have booked that into the bike shop for the 15th july and im so excited to get it fixed and then i will be cycling everywhere as i used to. I can not wait.

So that's all i have for you for now, i will really try and do an update for next week as i am not working as much but i won't promise anything as i have been super busy crafting as usual :), read my next post to find out what i have been up to :)

Speak soon and keep up the good work! You are all amazing and remember we can do this! Dream bodies here we come.....

Slimming world update #4

With working so much lately and crafting soap cupcakes my appetite has been all over the place and i have been naughty :( in my defence i am a woman and we NEED chocolate in our lives. Ladies do not let anyone else tell you any different as it's clearly A FACT :p

last time i weighed myself which was wednesday 10th june, i had maintained my weight and the week before that i did not weigh myself on purpose because of my bad eating even then. So i said to myself again i would give myself a couple of weeks before i weigh myself again so i can behave.

Today i had an appointment with a health advisor he was not so much a dietician but that kind of thing. We had a chat and he has been able to give me 24 really cheap sessions at my local gym as i have to lose weight within a certain time frame and i did not recieve any help or advice from the hospital so yeah :) and he told me to quit the bad food :( booo.

He had to weigh me today for his records and i was 79 kg. Last time i weighed myself it said 80kg so if indeed his scales are right, i lost another kg but i will wait to weigh myself on the print out machine again. As you will always get a more accurate figure if using the same machine. So hopefully next time i will update you i will have signed up to or already at the gym. Wish me luck :).

If anyone else reading this is doing a weightloss journey, i hope you are well, losing weight and enjoying your journey.

Take care xxxxxxxxxxxx

Current craft projects

Hello everyone and im sorry i have not been on here in a while. I have been working so many hours these past couple of weeks and honestly by the time i get home and do what i need to do im too tired to write a post or Darren is using the laptop, which is ok seeing as it is his (haha).

So this post is to show you why i have not been on here and also to show you what i am currently making. Anyone that knows me well enough will know that I ADORE CRAFTS!!!
Like i could not imagine a world with no crafts at all. Urrrhhhh the thought alone!!

So ladies and gentlemen, let's get on with it;

So here we have some cupcake soap, This was my very first attempt and i can not tell you how made up i am with this. It's lavender soap and even better it looks like a cup cake. I love love love it and it smells so lovely.

The first picture is when i finished icing them and the second is when i unmoulded them and they dried

How lovely are they? i'm so pleased i cant even begin to tell you. Beginners luck? i think so because look at my next batch;

So let me start with the colours. The icing was meant to be orange and red coral- but it's now pink and yellow and the base of the cupcake was meant to be light brown as i mixed white and brown together but instead i get ...

BLUE?!

how is it blue from brown and white? Oh well it doesn't matter i suppose it's just the fragrance is sweet orange and i have a yellow, pink and blue cupcake soap haha. Just my luck.

so yeah my big dream is to own and run a craft company of some sort but i really am interested in making soap to sell by the end of this year. The hardest bit is knowing once you have made your soap, you have to let it cure for 4-6 weeks to ensure all the chemical has left the soap. So theoretically it takes 6 weeks to find out if your soap is any good, so it is not a fast way. This way is called cold process. There are 3 types. Cold process, hot process and melt and pour. I have so many recipes to try and experiment with. The icing on these sweet orange cupcakes are awful and i know why. The piping tips i use are only small so it takes forever to pipe it out and it seems to just flop and melt back into itself, Im telling you my first go was pure luck as the icing looks okay on the lavender ones.

moving on....

my other main love is to crochet! ages ago i made this lovely baby granny square blanket

I love it. So i was all inspired to make another after a conversation with my sister so i went out and bought more wool.

Isn't it just lovely. SOOO girly. I have no idea why all my baby blankets seem to be girly, think it is just easier and girly colours are so eye catching! any who.. I decided to do a different granny square blanket, it doesn't have as many holes in it, but its still gorgeous,

Gives a lovely X patten through the little squares, Here also i have done two more rows in the contrasting colour, white. So once they are all joined they will look like the other blanket with a white border.
here is a photo to compare the two different types of granny squares.

cute or what!! Both very different. The first blanket is more pastel like colours and the current blanket is quite bright, eye catching colours. I won't be making this current blanket as big as the other one as it takes soooo long and clearly i have so many other craft projects to be getting on with.

I am already thinking of beeswax candles and bath bombs, if my soaps are ok and they are ok to sell to the public i will put them on my etsy shop but that's a while off yet.

Thank you for reading and i hope you are all ok. Sorry once again for not coming on here often but as you can see, i'm clearly on my way to making my first million ;)

see you soooon! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Slimming world update #3

Oh i am loving doing slimming world! I have lost a total of 8 Ibs so far!

I missed an update last week. Sorry. I started working didn't i and i have done so many hours last week. I did 7 days straight and my job is so energetic so i was too tired to do any posts. what i will do though is when i reach my target weight i will post a before and after photo (which i am dreading totally!).

So i am still losing 2 Ibs a week which is great and im made up with that. More would be a bonus but i have heard the slower you lose it the longer it stays off for.

I got the new slimming world July 2015 magazine the other day and there is loads of gorgeous recipes in there. Last week i must admit i did go well over my weekly syns by eating 2 bags of wispa bites, well more like 1 1/2 bags as darren helped eat around half a bag, they are bloody gorgeous and melt in your mouth and if like me you love chocolate but have tried to be good and deprived yourself a little you will understand how much i appreciated that chocolate haha.

I have said to myself that when i lose a stone i will treat myself to a dominos when it is on two for tuesdays, so we will get 2 medium and be greedy and have one each and watch a film. ( if i can afford it) but then straight back on plan the following day. To say well done and so i am not depriving myself. I have not had pizza since i started slimming world. It's too high in syns and i prefer to use those syns on something else so that is what i have planned as my 1 stone weight loss treat.

The other thing im really excited about is i have two pairs of jeans i bought a while ago now size 14 which didn't fit me, i am a size 14 in jeans but these particular jeans just obviously where a smaller size. well when i have lost my first stone i will try them on and see if they fit me yet. I am excited because it will feel so good to know they fit and i think thats when i will realise that i have indeed lost the weight. I sometimes feel i have but other days i wake up really bloated and im convinced i have put it all back on because of all the chocolate i have eaten but then i weigh myself and 2Ibs lighter each time. So i am very proud of myself and Darren is very proud also. It can be quite challenging when its just you following a food plan and you see someone else is having something you fancy but i am never really hungry and if i am i just eat. I have found that veg has become a little boring but with the help of july's magazine that should be of some help with fresh ideas.

My exercise has been non existant due to my operation but i have a month left until i should be completley healed and me and my sister have said we will go cycling together. Currently at the moment she does not live too far so i just need to get my bike fixed and she has purchased herself a lovely new bike so we shall go off on bike rides together :) yay!! Cant wait!!

Thanks for reading and i will update you again next week :D love you all xxxxxxxxxxxx

Easiest pancake recipe ever!

In my opinion and in yours when you try these for yourself you will probably agree that they are the easiest and quickest home made pancake recipe ever..

 To make these pancakes you probably already have the items in your kitchen. You need 2 main ingredients;

.1 egg
.1 medium- large banana

you will also need some oil to cook them in, i use fry light because it's free on slimming world.

Now to top the pancake i have used another banana sliced up and 1 tsp of icing sugar sprinkled over the plate, covering the pancakes and banana. It was delicious, made the banana pieces really sweet. lovely.

So what you need to do and this is so simple and easy- peel your banana, place it on a small plate, get a fork and mash it up.

(If you have an over ripened banana, i would use that as its much sweeter and much easier to mash up.)

Once that is all mushed up, crack an egg onto the banana and mix it together with the fork (it is probably much easier to transfer the banana to a bowl for this step) and Once it is all mixed nicely then it's time to cook.

Heat your pan over a low-medium heat and put the oil of your choice into your pan to warm up. You only need a drop and if it's the fry light, a spray or two.

using a big spoon, place 3 spoonfuls of the pancake batter into the pan and move the pan around to evenly spread the batter. These pancakes are only small so they are much easier to flip and you can stack them on your plate and it looks like you have lots more :). Cook for a couple of minutes on each side- You will know when they are done. Then pop them on your plate and keep going till all the batter is gone and then serve them with your choice of toppings. Honey is lovely on these pancakes with blueberries!! I was just using what i had to hand but maple syrup, even golden syrup or just like i did icing sugar, they are all lovely on these pancakes and these pancakes are sweet enough anyway so lots of berries on them alone will be enough.

This recipe is for 1 person and depending on how many spoonfuls of mixture i do i can get between 4-6 pancakes.

Now for slimming world viewers, I had no idea they syn the banana here because it's mashed up, im sure i read somewhere that 100g of mashed and cooked banana is something silly like 8 syns because of the sugars, I must admit i do not syn my pancakes and i have spoken to a few other members on facebook who do not either and they have still lost weight each week, some members have lost over 3st and they still eat these most days without syning them. So if you want to make them, just make smart decisions, think about what you can put on them that is free and if not make sure you syn accordingly, but most importantly.. ENJOY!!!!

Slimming world update #2

Hello everyone, So i weighed myself on wednesday and i have lost another 2 Ibs. I am very happy, its becoming something i am looking forward to doing weekly and the more you lose the more you want to stay on track and be good, i don't know how you could come off track with slimming world, unless you live a lavish lifestyle and eat out all the time.

So far i have lost 4 Ibs in 2 weeks and im hoping that will stay like that, i wouldn't mind losing maybe a little over 2 Ibs a week but i don't know if that's realistic. I do wish i could afford to do the classes and be a proper member of slimmming world because there is so much online information you can see when your a member but oh well. Just goes to show that if like me you have a tight income and want to lose weight that it is possible with google and facebook. You just have to do the research.

I can not remember if i mentioned in my last slimming world update post that i have started taking metformin. I am not diabetic but as i have a deadline in which to lose over 2 stone in 4 months, the doctor has put me on metformin to help me lose some weight. I did read up on some peoples experience about their weightloss with metformin and to be honest it was split down the middle with some people saying it helped and others saying it did nothing so i have no idea whether i am losing weight because of the medication or not, either way it's coming off and that's the main thing. Just because i am on medication for weightloss does not mean, if i wasn't that i wouldn't lose any because i would and so will you if you give it a try. Slimming world was recommended to me by the hospital because they know that you will get results. If you have been reading this wondering whether to give it a go or not then do! You will love the freedom of the slimming world lifestyle, its brilliant! And keep following me on my journey too, we can do it together :).

I will be back next week with another update on my weightloss. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and chat soon xxxxx

A busy few weeks

So i have not been posting often as i used to but with good reason.
My friend just last week had her second little girl and i was staying in her house minding her eldest child who was two on saturday just gone, they are both beautiful girls and i really enjoyed minding her, the second excuse is im back at work finally, wahooo! Feels good to be back at work but i still have to go to fortnightly meetings at the job centre which is a nightmare because i still have to search for a job even though i have one already, boooo!!!

Now for my other reasons,

Darren won us tickets to the theatre AGAIN! How lucky is that, we are quite an unlucky couple really but not when it comes to the theatre apparently haha. So we went to see Shed, I am rubbish with technology so i don't know how to add links to websites. However, i will give you a quick summary of what it was about but for further information please visit www.royalcourtliverpool.co.uk

'An Englishman’s Shed is his castle – as Liverpool artist Joel Bird proved when he won TV’s Shed of the Year competition.
Now the humble allotment shed is proving a fertile background for a new bittersweet comedy co-written and performed by Liverpool actors Mickey Starke and Paul Broughton at the Royal Court.
Spring is in the air and the spuds are in the ground.
When two blokes want to sit down and have a laugh without being bothered by anyone else there’s no place better than an allotment shed.
And when those two mates have been best buds for the more than 50 years, there’s a lot of water that has flowed under the bridge. Most of it funny but some of it troubled.
It’s just another day in the shed and the banter flies thick and fast as they talk about the old days, girlfriends and the best way to boil a sprout. But things are never quite how they seem.
Shed was written by Paul, Mickey and director Bob Eaton, who promise it is packed with laughs – and a few home truths too.'

That was an extract from the liverpool echo's website where they talk about the production and more- have a look at the website www.liverpoolecho.co.uk

If anyone knows how i can add in the links to my posts please comment and tell me thank you!!

Now for some photos of our night :)

We went to costa because i really wanted a drink of some sorts and i am so glad i did because i decided to choose something different this time... A Chai latte -- blooming gorgeous!!

Yay at the theatre wahoooo

Our seats

oh we had a fantastic night and laughed lots i would reccomend it if it's still showing. The theatre is gorgeous and it is always a good night out for a couple or the family.

So apart from the theatre i have also been to my first big farmers market! It was amazing, it is called Inglenook farm in St Helens. Here is some photos xx

It was so good, lots to see, i did not take photos of everything, although i wish i had to show you all how amazing it was. There where so many stalls and everyone was so friendly, the farm was beautiful and the cafe was sooo popular as it was full up so we sat outside in the wind and cold and had a cup of tea and mum ate some lemon drizzle cake, whilst we looked across at the donkey and sheep in the opposite field whilst we gabbed about the purchases mum had made. It was a lovely day.

It is only on one saturday a month but there are little shops that are open all the time that you can go to. I can't wait to go again, currently saving up for next time but it's kind of hard to buy tasty things when your doing slimming world.. booooo wish i was naturally skinny haha.

So yes sorry i have not been posting much but i have been busy. I have some more photos from another event in Liverpool coming to you soon when i find the time to squeeze it in haha.

I hope you are all very well and you are enjoying my blog :) thank you for visiting me and speak to you all soon.

Take care xxxxxx
